This is our attempt to improve the library experience for typical patrons by switching from a Dewey Decimal Classification system for the physical arrangement of non-fiction books to a system that is based on a bookstore model. We truly believe that we can improve the patron experience by making browsing more enjoyable without sacrificing the ability to easily find books on the shelves or in our catalog. This blog will serve as documentation for our progress, a place for discussion, and possibly serve as a helpful source of information for other libraries hoping to improve our collective future.
