Opening Reception of Women Working for Change
The Henry County Public Library presents Women Working for Change, a Museums to Go exhibit from the Kentucky Historical Society.
The opening reception will include the first look at this exhibit, as well as, refreshments provided by the library.
Women Working for Change documents the contributions that Kentucky women have made to the cultural, intellectual, medical and political life in Kentucky from post-Civil War years to the middle of the 20th century. It draws from the best examples of photographs from statewide repositories to illustrate the activities of women in these four areas. The exhibit includes often-neglected minority groups and presents both urban and rural women. It highlights the achievements of well-known women but also includes the contributions of less famous women.
The Henry County Public Library will have this exhibit on display until Thursday, April 4th.
This program is open to all ages.
