Books in Spanish

Posted by ehaigh on

¡Buenas Noticias!

We’ve been auditing our collection of books in Spanish, from bilingual books to books about Latin-American cultures. Below is a list of all the library has to offer (and how to find your way around the library).

Access this list from your mobile device when you visit, or grab a printed copy at the front desk.

Also, we’ll be creating a survey on more ways we can serve our Spanish-speaking (and Spanish-learning) community. Pease keep an eye out for it and help us help you!

Story Time Has Returned!

Posted by ehaigh on

Story time is here!

We’re meeting Fridays at 10AM in the amphitheater behind the library (dress for the weather!). Come through the library or walk around the building.

Activities are planned for 2-6 year-olds, but everyone is welcome and accommodations can be made for kiddos with special needs or sensitivities.

Check out the schedule on our events calendar for updates and changes.

If there’s enough interest, bilingual and/or evening story times might be possible. Please stay tuned for a survey on how we might best expand our offerings.

Posted by suzanne on

It’s time to Drop Your Drawers at the library.  We will be taking donations of new in the package underwear for boys and girls sizes 4-16.  The underwear will be donated to our local family resource centers to support their mission of serving the families and students of Henry County.

Our goal this year to provide each elementary school in the county with 250 pairs for a total donation of 1000 pair of underwear county wide.
