Showcase of KHQS 2017 Challenge Quilts – A Trunk Show presented by Donna Duncan
On Saturday, January 20, 2018, local quilt maker Donna Duncan will present the 2017 Kentucky Heritage Quilt Society’s Challenge Quilts traveling exhibit, “Simply Solids.” The twenty-six quilts were made in response to former KHQS President Sarah Scarborough Frye’s challenge to make a quilt inspired by colors in a photo or picture, using only solid colors. The presentation will begin at 12:00 Noon, and will last about an hour. Those who wish to stay for the question-and-answer time afterward will be welcome to do so.
This program is for all ages.
No registration required.

“I am a garden lover and the photo of the butterfly on the cone flower had the colors and a scene that made me smile. I used Electric Quilt (a quilt design program) to draft the traditional “Storm at Sea” block to the correct size. When machine quilting tested my patience and brought out all my insecurities, I decided to name my quilt “Storm in Me.”
