Circulation Supervisor-Morning & Circulation Supervisor-Evening

Under the general direction of the Library Director, the Circulation Supervisor performs specialized tasks related to the circulation of library materials including processing circulating materials, shelving, answering patron inquires in person and on the phone, and handling money for fines, fees, or other services. The Circulation Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the circulation staff, providing schedules, training, conducting performance reviews, hiring, and disciplining. Duties require supervisory skills, independent judgment, and independent action. The Circulation Supervisor interacts with the public and other staff members.

Type of Position: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Description: Circulation Supervisor- Evening

Adult Program/Genealogy Assistant

Under the general direction of the Adult Services Librarian, the Program/Genealogy Assistant performs specialized tasks related to providing library services to adults. The Program/Genealogy Assistant conducts both onsite and offsite programming, orders library materials, creates displays, provides front line customer service, and performs other tasks as necessary to encourage the use of the Library by adults of all ages.  The Program/Genealogy Assistant performs specialized tasks related to the Genealogical services, which includes, but is not limited to, family research, local history, etc.  The Program/Genealogy Assistant helps oversee the organization and collection maintenance of the Genealogy Room. Duties may require independent judgment and action within specific parameters.  The Program/Genealogy Specialist interacts with the public and with other staff in a warm and welcoming manner.

Job Description: Adult Program/Genealogy Assistant

Cataloging/Circulation Assistant

Under the general direction of the Technical Services Librarian, the Cataloging/Circulation Assistant provides front line customer service, requiring extensive interaction with the public and other staff members.  The Cataloging/Circulation Assistant performs specialized tasks related to the circulation of library materials including unboxing new materials, cataloging new material, processing circulating materials, shelving, answering patron inquiries in person and on the phone, and handling money for fines, fees, or other services.  Duties may require independent judgment and action within specific parameters. Also performs tasks related to basic technology troubleshooting for patrons, such as email, printing, saving, web searching, etc.
