Join us at the library to celebrate local community helpers, the people who make our neighborhoods healthier and safer. Community helpers will be on hand with the vehicles that help them do their jobs. Scheduled guests include the Eminence Police Department and The Learning Bus provided by Henry County Public Schools. Snacks and special activities will also be available.
Special guests Elephant & Piggy will be at the library to help us kick off the Summer Lunch Program. The Kentucky State Police will visit with their Safety Town, and our Friends from Kiwanis Club of Henry County will provide free lunch for everyone. Drop off a favorite stuffed friend at the library anytime between June 25 and 1 p.m. on June 27. The stuffed animals will get to spend Friday night at the library. Furry friends can be picked up between 9 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, when the library will serve a light breakfast. Each stuffed animal will take home a special storybook of their library adventure.
Learn how reptiles have adapted to their environment and the important role they play in the natural world with a variety of reptiles, centering on the diversity of the reptilian world and the unique characteristics of each individual creature. Reptiles presented in this program range from young alligators to large pythons.
