Ghost Terrariums for Teens

It’s a Crafternoon Party in the Teen Space. Middle and high school aged students can stop by the teen room between 4:30 and 6 p.m. to sculpt a tiny ghost and create a cozy home for their new friend.

Messy Science!

Learn scientific principles with messy, hands-on activities (the kind you wouldn't want to do at home)! This program is ideal for homeschoolers and students in grades 4 through 9. Activities will require some supervision and spare clothes or smocks are recommended. Visit anytime within the 2-hour window to give these experiments a try!

Tiny Art for Teens

Tiny art kits will be available for middle and high school students only at the circulation desk beginning at 3 p.m. Middle and high school aged students can stop by the teen room between 4:30 and 6 p.m. to create a tiny art project.

Teen Crafternoon: Picky Pads & Winter Self Care

Middle and high school students can meet in the Teen Space to make slime-based picky pads and a self-care first aid kit to help them through the darker, shorter winter months. Supplies will be available from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Teen Crafternoon: Fandom Party

Middle and high school students can join us in the Teen Space to celebrate favorite fandoms with fan art, buttons, mini scrapbooks and more.

Teen Crafternoon: Closet Clean Out

Stop by the Teen Space  from 4-6 p.m. for a variety of arts & craft projects from the Youth Services department Closet. This program is for middle and high school students only.

Teen Crafternoon: Button Bracelets

Stop by the Teen Space  from 4-6 p.m. to explore color theory. Use what you learn to create a button bracelet that represents you. A variety of buttons will be available. This program is for middle and high school students only.

Earth Day Celebration!

Stop by the Children’s Area on Earth Day to complete art activities and science experiments that celebrate the planet. We’ll even be making recycled paper while supplies last. Activities will be set up from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Teen Summer Volunteer Orientation

Applicants for the Teen Summer Volunteer Program are required to attend volunteer training before Summer Learning Begins. The volunteer program for anyone in 7th through 12th grade.
