Community Coloring Book Call for Art

Calling artists of all ages and abilities!

HCPL needs your original art to create a community coloring book!

  • Illustrations must be in black ink (pencils and crayons don’t photocopy very well). You can sketch your idea any way you want, then tape it to a back-lit window. Tape a clean piece of paper on top and trace your idea in black ink.
  • Draw your illustration in landscape orientation (so left-handed people don’t have to lean on the binding as they color)
  • Don’t copy anyone else’s artwork. We want to celebrate YOU, so give us your best, most original work!
  • One illustration per person (so we have space for everyone’s art) and be sure to include your name and contact information
  • Submit your work at the library any time before Friday, August 2nd. Bring it to us in person or email a scan to elizabeth.haigh@henrylibrary.org

Community coloring books will be free for everyone and ready to pick up at our Back-2-School event on Saturday, August 10th.

We can’t wait to celebrate your artwork!
