Our friends from the Kentucky Reptile Zoo will be back at the library to teach us all about some interesting reptiles. This exciting annual event is one your family won’t want to miss. The Summer Learning Program is paid for in part through a generous grant from Ohio Valley United Charities and the support of Friends of the Henry County Public Library.

Mark the longest day of the year by having fun with the whole family. The library will have lots of opportunities for play set up, like Big Blue Blocks, a bubble pool, giant games and more. Our partners at Kiwanis Club of Henry County are co-sponsoring this event and will be providing a free meal for families.
The market will take place on the lawn and inside the library with farmers, artisans, and businesses set up for you to explore. We will also have live music food trucks serving food for anyone looking to spend a Friday evening in Henry County. Everyone is welcome to drop by the library for exciting games, scavenger hunts, crafts, and more to celebrate summer. Activities will be available all day.
Create your own ecosystem by making a Jungle in a Jar. Choose from a variety of artificial plants, tiny animals, characters and more to complete your project. All ages are welcome at this summer’s Adventures in Art, but anyone under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies are provided by the library. Please arrive by 6:30 p.m. to have adequate time to complete the project.
