At December’s Family Activity Night families with children of all ages can make various holiday and winter decorations for their homes or to use as gifts. You can drop in anytime after 4:30 p.m. to participate but must be in the room by 6:30 p.m. to have time to complete your projects before the library closes. All ages are welcome but anyone under 10 must be accompanied by a grownup.
Middle and high school students can meet in the Teen Space to make slime-based picky pads and a self-care first aid kit to help them through the darker, shorter winter months. Supplies will be available from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Join us for Gentle Yoga at the Library every Wednesday. Stretch, strengthen, increase mobility, and decrease stress in this gentle, slow-paced practice that makes yoga accessible to adults of all sizes, ages and fitness levels. Library provides mats but you are welcome to bring your own.
Sound baths are a meditation that uses vibration to connect, calm, and heal the physical body.
Hot Chocolate Club meets every Monday and Thursday during winter break. Each Hot Chocolate Club features a fun family film on the big screen, a craft related to the film, and free hot chocolate and cookies beginning at 1 p.m. All ages are welcome at this event and all movies are rated G or PG.
